4. JSS Medical College

Affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, JSS Medical College, Mysore is recognized by the Medical Council of India. It is one of the first institutions in India to establish a plastination museum. It offers both undergraduate courses in medicine (M.B.B.S) and postgraduate degree (M.D /M.S). Besides, it offers diploma programmes in 20 medical disciplines. The college has 200 seats for the MBBS course to be filled through NEET. According to the NIRF, 2019 the college ranks 17th. The course fees at JSSMC for an MBBS course is Rs. 35,80,000/- for 5 years.

5. Ramaiah Medical College

Established in 1979, the Ramaiah Medical College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. It is also recognised by the Medical Council of India. A total of 150 seats for MBBS are offered by the college every year which are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority based on NEET scores. Established in 1955, BMCRI was formerly known as Bangalore Medical College (BMC). It is an autonomous institution medical college run by the Government of Karnataka. It is attached to 4 teaching hospitals in bengaluru and offers 250 seats for MBBS courses based on NEET score. The course fee is Rs. 9,200 per annum.

7. Mysore Medical College and Research Institute

MMCRI is also known as Government Medical College. Founded in 1924, it is one of the oldest medical colleges in the Karnataka region.
