Human teeth

Humans have four different types of teeth :

(i) Incisors: These are flat teeth in the front of the mouth which are used to bite into food. There are 8 incisors present in the mouth.

(ii) Canines: These are the sharp edge teeth, useful for tearing food. There are 4 canines in the mouth

(iii) Premolars: These are broad surface teeth which are used in grinding food. There are 8 premolars.

(iv) Molars: These are the large teeth at the back of the mouth which is used in chewing the food. Humans have 12 molars.
