Let’s Start:

1. Starting from morning

             First of all, be sure to get up in the morning. The saying ‘Early birds get the worms’ stays true in this situation as well. The most appropriate time for students to get up is the wee hours of the day. Even psychologists claim that early morning is the best time for memorizing and learning. At this time of the day there is in general quiet and calm around making it easy to concentrate as the mind is fresh too!

Now let’s take a good hour by hour look at how students should spend their morning –

  • 5 to 7 o’clock in the morning: This is the best time to memorize the learning material. Having a fresh mind helps retain information quickly. Make sure to devote this time of the day to learn and memorize important and relevant information for your preparation.
  • ]7 to 8 o’clock in the morning: You can reserve this time for exercise, snacks, bathing, etc. Try to energize yourself and freshen up your brain with this break. If you have classes to attend, then get prepared for that.
  • 8 to 10 o’clock in the morning: If you attend school or university then you should focus on your classes and try to understand the planned lectures, paying attention in class does half of your work. But, If you don’t attend school or university then you can start learning from 8 o’clock in the morning. Divide your study into parts by dedicating one hour to one specific subject, by doing this you can cover more subjects and retain your concentration Too!
  • 10 to 12 o’clock noon: As You have been studying for a couple of hours you can either take a break of 2 hours and indulge in relaxing activities or you can take a smaller break, have breakfast and sit down to study again. Marathon study can be done before exams or tests. If you have been studying since morning then you would have covered over 5+ hours of studying before the daybreak.

2. During the Day

  • After investing 5-6 hours of your morning in studies, you should spend your day comfortably revising or learning subjects that are easier for you. Try to get in some exercise and movement to escape the monotony that sometimes comes with a strict study routine.
  • 12 to 2 o’clock: As earlier said, invest this time to study subjects that were not covered in the earlier half. Try to pick subjects that are easier to understand and learn to retain your attention. This helios in having a well-distributed study schedule.
  • 2 to 3 o’clock: Use this hour to unwind and relax, grab your lunch and do something that has your interest. Indulge in low-effort activities such as watching TV or listening to songs.
  • 3 to 5 o’clock: After a day of studying, the brain is sure to get tired. Try to do practice
    tests and solve exam papers. This would not only test your memory but also condition
    you to handle the exam environment. You can also utilize this time to revise study
    material from the morning’s study routine.

3. Evening Time

             After a slow afternoon, you can now revive studying and learning actively. Before that, you can go for a short evening walk or take a small Tea break and have some refreshing snacks.

  • 6 to 9 o’clock: Use your evening to go through with the hefty parts of your studies, like practicing maths or learning chemistry. As you have re-energized with an evening walk you will be able to focus on extensive study without getting distracted. Try to complete the portion of the study that you assigned yourself and be accountable for your studies.
    After completing your studies for the day you can grab a healthy dinner and some entertainment. Remember to take a little bit of time for yourself to not dull your mood
    with only studies.
  • 10 to 11 o’clock: Before going to bed, you can briefly brush up on the notes that you took while studying the entire day. This will help you in retaining information for a longer period of time and also give you a sense of fulfillment when you see the work you have completed for the day.

After successfully completing your studies for the day, make sure to have a proper 6-7 hours of sleep to not exhaust your brain. If you follow this study routine then you can easily fit in 14+ hours of study in a single day!
