Subject and Predicate

Subject is the part of sentence which names the person or thing we speak about.                                               Predicate is the part of sentence which describes the subject or the part which tells something about the sentence.                                                                                                                                                             For ex. The earth revolves round the sun.                                                                                                                     The earth is the subject of the sentence whereas revolves around the sun is the predicate of the sentence.
